Las Vegas second-grader among victims in Feb. 1 head-on crash near California line

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 7-year-old beauty queen was killed in a head-on crash that also took the lives of a Utah couple just north of Needles, California, on Feb. 1.

Kenzlie Cavasar, a second-grader at Rogers Elementary in the southwest valley, was one of six people in a Chevy Silverado pickup returning from a fishing trip at Lake Havasu on Feb. 1 when the head-on collision occurred on U.S. 95 just south of the Nevada-California border, according to the girl’s family.

A Utah couple in the other vehicle both died, according to records from the San Bernardino County medical examiner’s office. They were identified as Wendy Bagozzi, 77, and Robert Bagozzi, 78, from Washington, Utah.
