LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Heidi Fleiss, the one-time media sensation and so-called Hollywood Madam, says she will fight county restrictions on her ability to house and release some 30 wild birds she plans to move from Pahrump to her new home in Las Vegas.
Fleiss, 60, served prison time after running afoul of both state and federal law in the late 1990s. She closed on a home in the southeast Las Vegas Valley in February, which she chose because of its proximity to tall trees and its lush, green quarter-acre of land.
After the 8 News Now Investigators with Nextsar’s KLAS first reported a neighbor’s complaints to the county went viral, a Clark County spokeswoman said Fleiss is only able to house 20 Macaws, and is unable to release any of them outdoors because her home is in an airstrike hazard area due to its proximity to Harry Reid International Airport…
