Rip-and-Dip Bagel Invasion PopUp Plots First Nevada Shop In Henderson

PopUp Bagels, the social-media-fueled chain famous for hot, unsliced bagels meant to be torn and dunked, is zeroing in on Henderson. The brand has teased a storefront at 1685 E. Cactus Ave., with social posts pointing to the location. The company has not announced a public opening date.

As reported by Secret Las Vegas, an Instagram post identified the site near Seven Hills Drive and listed the address, while the Las Vegas Review-Journal noted that a company representative would not provide a timeline for opening. Secret Las Vegas also reported that local franchise partners are leading PopUp’s Nevada push.

What PopUp Bagels Is

PopUp Bagels started as a backyard pickup in 2020 and, according to PopUp Bagels, leans on a short menu and the tagline “Not famous but known,” serving five core doughs and rotating schmears such as scallion cream cheese, salted butter and limited-run collaborations. The chain’s whole-bagel policy, no slicing or toasting, and its “rip-and-dip” approach have prompted plenty of debate about how the product stacks up against classic New York bagels, according to Time Out.

Where It Fits In Henderson

Henderson already has neighborhood bagel options, and the Las Vegas Review-Journal has covered Bodega Bagel’s arrival on Eastern Avenue. PopUp’s planned shop would add another national, social-media-savvy player to the local breakfast mix. The opening also tracks with the brand’s rapid growth strategy, as industry reporting says PopUp has dozens of storefronts across several states and has signed scores of franchise agreements as it pushes to open many more, per Bake Magazine.
