An infant found unresponsive Friday in an east Las Vegas Valley home was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances of the child’s death.
Officers and medical personnel responded to a medical call in the 5700 block of White Cap Street, near East Charleston Boulevard and North Sloan Lane, where the infant was discovered and transported for emergency care. The child did not survive, and authorities have opened an investigation into what happened.
