Potential CCSD school closures could impact Historic Westside, east Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Clark County School District is considering closing several schools due to low enrollment, and on Monday, the public has a chance to give their opinion on the district’s plan.

CCSD is hosting a “Building Brighter Futures” community input forum at Coronado High School in Henderson on Monday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., according to the district’s website.

In a meeting earlier this month, the design firm CannonDesign presented the Clark County School District Board of Trustees with a draft plan that showed about 80 schools that could be replaced, renovated, or repurposed.
