Wind advisory in place as gusts, cooler temps hit Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — March will go out like a lion today, as gusty southwest winds increase to advisory levels later this morning.

HEADLINES:

  • Gusty winds: Wind advisory today
  • Cloudy, with slight chances of rain tonight
  • Temps cool back to seasonal 70s
  • Warmer low 80s for Easter Sunday
  • Maybe 90 again next week

Clouds filled the skies yesterday to help keep afternoon temps just below record highs. Monday’s high reached 88 degrees. The cooler air with the first wave of low pressure today will drop temperatures another ten degrees to start a much more seasonal trend of springlike 70s for the rest of the week.

Wind Advisory for all of Southern Nevada and southeast California, begins at 11 a.m. and lasts until 2 a.m. on Wednesday
