CONYERS — As Rockdale County prepares to hold a public hearing on its proposed Unified Development Ordinance, residents continued pressing county leaders for stronger protection against data center development and greater clarity in the county’s long-awaited zoning rewrite.
During the June 23 Rockdale County Board of Commissioners meeting, several residents used public comments to raise concerns about the draft UDO, which county officials have described as the first comprehensive update to Rockdale’s development regulations in roughly two decades.
