Suspect arrested in shooting that killed pregnant Decatur woman

A suspect has been apprehended after a shooting in Decatur that led to the death of a pregnant woman and her unborn child.

According to officials with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Devin Anthony was located and arrested in Riverdale, Georgia, for the June 16 killing of 23-year-old Shakiya Pridgen. Pridgen, who had celebrated a baby shower days before, died while asleep in her apartment on Peppertree Drive when multiple gunshots were fired through her bedroom window, killing her and her unborn child, investigators stated. Two other children were also asleep inside the home and were unharmed, according to officials.
