Gwinnett County Police will hold a two-day hiring event this weekend, offering applicants a chance to complete the first stage of recruitment for full-time officer positions starting at $55,923 a year.
The event runs Friday, Sept. 18, from 3 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Police Training Center, 854 Winder Highway in Lawrenceville.
The recruitment has a direct North Atlanta connection. Gwinnett officers serve Sugar Hill and Peachtree Corners, along with unincorporated areas of Suwanee and Duluth, through the department’s North, Central and West precincts. Those patrol operations use rotating 12-hour shifts…
