DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston recently announced a conviction by jury trial and sentencing of a man accused of shooting and killing two people at an extended stay motel in unincorporated Decatur.
A jury found 39-year-old William Leftenent guilty of two counts of malice murder, four counts of felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection with the deaths of 32-year-old Lamar Pringle and 35-year-old Mariana Greene on May 28, 2024.
