The group of teachers aspiring to become the 2028 Gwinnett County Teacher of the Year is down to the final 25 on Thursday as Gwinnett County Public Schools announced the names of the semifinalists for the system’s top honor.
The group of elementary, middle, and high school teachers was selected from the initial list of the district’s local school Teachers of the Year who were nominated by their colleagues at their local schools. On Jan. 28, 2027, GCPS will host a banquet celebration honoring all local school teachers and naming the top teacher in Gwinnett County.
