A Wildwood woman was arrested for driving without a license after being stopped in a vehicle with a paper permit plate from Georgia.
A deputy conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, later identified as 24-year-old Alona Diamond Fullwood, at County Road 466A and East County Road 462, Wildwood, at 9:54 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle did not have a tag, instead displaying a piece of paper that read “Temporary Operating Permit Plate” with “TEST DRIVE” in bold letters.
Another deputy responded to the traffic stop, and the investigation was turned over to him. He spoke with Fullwood who was unable to provide a valid driver’s license because she never had one issued. However, she did give a Georgia ID card number, the report said.
Fullwood’s personal information was used to confirm she did not have a driver’s license. The vehicle had a Georgia license plate assigned which also expired on Nov. 12, 2024, less than six months ago, the report said…
