JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Slow-moving storms are impacting our area with heavy downpours, leaving behind up to an inch of rainfall in some areas. Localized flooding is the main concern in spots prone to slow drainage.
Expect a stormy Sunday as rain moves into our region, starting in the southern counties and moving to the north. Add the Atlantic sea breeze, and by mid-afternoon, we’ll have more widespread rain with some thunderstorms. Our area could have heavy downpours at times, with precipitation accumulation of up to 1″+ in some areas. Temperatures will warm into the upper 70s, low 80s under cloudy skies.
