Gunfire punctuated the night on Marietta St NW when, according to an Atlanta Police Department release, officers were called to the scene of a shooting at 955 Marietta St NW yesterday. During the 10:48 pm incident, a male victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds, authorities were able to respond promptly, thanks in part to an officer already working an extra job in the vicinity who detained the suspect soon after.
The unnamed victim was rapidly attended by EMS and transported to a local hospital for urgent medical care.
