LPD Reports: Motorcyclist remains in Walton County jail facing multiple charges after traffic stop May 25 in Loganville

May 25: A Tucker, Ga. man faces a slew of charges after attempting to pass through Loganville on a motorcycle with no tag. After stopping for the officer, he handed over a driver’s license for someone named “Christopher” that was later determined to be fake. A check of the motorcycle revealed that the VIN number had been intentionally removed. In addition, the odor of marijuana prompted a closer inspection of the motorcycle, leading to the discovery of a bag affixed under the seat.

It reportedly contained:

  • Nearly 30 grams of suspected marijuana
  • Two rocks weighing almost 69 grams of crystal methamphetamine
  • Ten pills of suspected MDMA (ecstasy) •
  • A DeWalt box containing 11 mushrooms (suspected psilocybin)
  • Additional suspected packaged mushrooms
  • A black/clear baggie containing suspected methamphetamine
  • Another bag with a substance that field-tested positive for cocaine
  • Also located in the bag were a measuring spoon, tweezers, and a digital scale with suspected marijuana granules.
  • A search of the suspect’s person uncovered a loaded firearm and a meth pipe.

The subject was transported to Walton County Jail. LPD was later advised that the suspect’s fingerprints identified him as someone other than the name he had initially provided. The identified individual, identified as Justin Lee Etheridge, 42, of Tucker, had multiple felony convictions—including eight for forgery—as well as active warrants out of Gwinnett County. In addition, his license had been suspended in 2017 for child support nonpayment…
