The fatality count on Georgia roads at the end of the July 4th 2025 holiday travel period was 13

At the end of the 78-hour July 4th holiday weekend travel period for 2025, the fatality count on Georgia roads was 13. This is an increase of one over last year’s holiday travel period that was 102 hours long. None of the fatalities were reported in either Walton or Gwinnett counties.

According to the Department of Public Safety, at 6 a.m. on Sunday, July 6, the travel fatality count on Georgia roads for the 2025 July 4th holiday travel weekend was nine. With 18 hours still remaining in the monitored travel period, no fatalities were recorded on Gwinnett or Walton County roads…
