Flowery Branch man arrested after kilo of meth seized in drug investigation

Hall County Sheriff’s Office investigators seized more than a kilogram of methamphetamine and arrested a Flowery Branch man during a drug bust earlier this week, officials said.

It started Monday afternoon, July 28, when a deputy pulled over a pickup truck for failing to maintain its lane near Hog Mountain and Capitola Farms Road. A K9 unit alerted to the presence of narcotics, prompting a vehicle search that uncovered approximately 22 grams of methamphetamine.

Investigators with the HCSO Special Investigations Unit (SIU) identified the driver as 50-year-old James Rondy Andrews of Flowery Branch. During questioning, they learned additional drugs might be at his home on Sleepy Lagoon Way, according to investigators.

Deputies detained Andrews and executed a search at the residence, where they found roughly one kilogram of meth, 105 grams of marijuana, and three handguns. Authorities estimate the total street value of the seized drugs at $3,200…
