Man who tried to pee out MLK eternal flame is charged

An Atlanta man has been arrested after urinating on the eternal flame at The King Center near downtown Atlanta

According to the police report obtained by Atlanta’s 11 Alive, Brent Jones got into an altercation with another man at The Center for Nonviolent Social Change on historic Auburn Avenue.

Man ordered to leave

When Jones was ordered to vacate the premises, Jones reportedly defied the order and, instead, urinated in the reflection pool near the crypts of Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife, Coretta Scott King.

Immediately thereafter, Jones did the same thing on the eternal flame. Next, Jones spitefully reach over near a podium and scattered papers onto the ground…
