FULTON COUNTY, GEORGIA — Authorities say one person has died following a head-on collision along State Route 70 in Fulton County after their vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic. The crash remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).
Driver Crossed Center Line, Causing Deadly Collision
According to a preliminary report from the Georgia State Patrol, the incident occurred when a Toyota Camry traveling southbound on State Route 70 veered across the center line into the northbound lanes. The vehicle collided head-on with a Toyota Tacoma, resulting in severe damage to both vehicles.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the driver of the Camry dead. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity, pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Toyota Tacoma sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, officials confirmed.
