Customers of the Affordable Care Act are starting to pay much pricier premiums for health care as Congress has declined to extend subsidies amid partisan bickering.
“I’ve got multiple autoimmune conditions and connective tissue disorders,” said Himali Patel of DeKalb County. She says she spends an inordinate amount of her time in front of healthcare specialists. “And last year I was diagnosed with cancer,” she said Monday.
