DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson and Sheriff Melody Maddox had a testy email exchange after three inmates escaped from the DeKalb County Jail.
In a Dec. 22 email to Maddox, Cochran-Johnson said she and other county officials, including the county police chief, were out of the loop about the escape. Maddox responded by telling the CEO to stay in her lane.
