CONYERS — The family of Brandon Pena Vargas, the 12-year-old Edwards Middle School student who died in October, has formally retained legal counsel and filed notice of intent to pursue claims against Rockdale County Public Schools, alleging systemic failures related to bullying and student safety.
The legal action marks the fifth case in two years in which Chennault Legal & Consulting Group has pursued claims involving RCPS.
