Man arrested for allegedly impersonating deputy to commit armed robbery in Gwinnett County

A man has been arrested in Gwinnett County for allegedly impersonating a Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) deputy to commit armed robberies.

According to GCSO, Samuel Baxter was located after surveillance and he was pulled over after exiting a residence in DeKalb County.

The sheriff’s office said “controlled techniques” had to be used to put him on the ground due to noncompliance and an ambulance was called as a precaution.

Baxter denied medical attention and was transported to Gwinnett County Police Headquarters…
