Gwinnett County school bus driver charged with DUI off the job

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Gwinnett County school bus drivers transport more than 128,000 children every day. But now one of those drivers is facing criminal charges.

In November 2025, court records show David Atkins was charged with driving under the influence of drugs while operating his personal vehicle. The case is still open and active.
