Georgia Man Hauled Back To Chicago In Deadly Austin Street Shooting

A 61-year-old man from Lithonia, Georgia, is now facing a first-degree murder charge in Chicago after being extradited in connection with the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old man in the Austin neighborhood last summer. Police identified the suspect as Donnell Simmons, who was arrested on Friday and brought back to Chicago. He is expected to appear in Cook County court on Sunday for his next hearing.

According to FOX 32 Chicago, Simmons faces one felony count of first-degree murder and was taken into custody in the 10000 block of W. O’Hare Street before being returned to Chicago.
