According to officials with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and DeKalb County Police Department (DKPD), major arrests and drug busts have occurred within the span of one week in March.
On March 23, officials announced the capture of a suspect they labeled “the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office most wanted fugitive,” with the arrest of Brian Tripp who was taken into custody in Pritchard, Alabama, with assistance from the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said that Tripp fled DeKalb County in January 2024, in the middle of a trial after being released on bond. The trial continued without him, and a jury later found him guilty of kidnapping, street gang charges, and other offenses. He was sentenced to life plus 65 years in prison for his crimes…
