Shoplifting suspect at center of multi-day Centerville manhunt pleads guilty, DA’s Office says

CENTERVILLE, Ga. — A Georgia shoplifting suspect who lead authorities on a chase and manhunt in Centerville plead guilty on Thursday, according to Houston County District Attorney Eric Edwards.

Michael Allen Jones, 36, of Barrow County was sentenced to 10 years in prison in connection to the September 2025 shoplifting case and the ensuing chase, the release said.
