Lawrenceville man sentenced to 30 years in prison for selling fentanyl that led to 2 overdose deaths

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — A Lawrenceville man will spend the next 30 years behind bars for his involvement in a criminal enterprise that led to two fatal fentanyl overdoses.

The investigation began in when officials linked the overdose deaths of 25-year-old Eldin Mehmedovic and 21-year-old Sean Robert Wignall to a fentanyl dealer named “Capone,” who was later identified as 47-year-old David Shane Lancaster.

Authorities arrested Lancaster and, through phone data, discovered that he operated a fentanyl and Methamphetamine distribution business called Capone, Inc. between May 2023 and March 2024…
