Arrest made months after woman killed outside Loganville CVS

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — The Loganville Police Department announced an arrest in the case of a woman shot and killed at a CVS in November.

Kimberly Whaley was killed at the pharmacy in Loganville on Nov. 14, 2025.

Whaley had worked at the store, located off Highway 78 and Conyers Road for seven years, a CVS spokesperson previously told Atlanta New First.

On Monday, Gwinnett SWAT took 29-year-old Evander Choates from Loganville into custody and made the arrest. Choates was previously considered a person of interest but was let go the day of the shooting, according to police…
