Man sentenced to federal prison for selling drugs that killed one, injured other, US attorney says

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A Conyers man has been sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty to selling drugs that killed one man and injured another, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia said.

Masi Lenard Fears, 39, sold two men a powdery substance at a gas station in Conyers in March 2021. The men thought they were buying cocaine or heroin. Fears instead sold them tranq, a deadly mix of fentanyl and xylazine, the U.S. attorney said.
