ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A cat tested positive for rabies in DeKalb County on Monday, according to the county government.
The case involved a dead cat in Lithonia, the government said. It’s unclear if it was a stray or a pet.
“Georgia is a rabies endemic state, and the virus is present all year long,” the government said in a statement. “It is not unusual for the county to report several rabies cases each year.”…
