LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Daryll Russell, 53, pled guilty to amended charges in relation to a 2022 murder case.
Russell pled guilty in early May to the following charges:
- Reckless homicide (amended from murder)
- Convicted felon in possession of a handgun
- Assault (fourth degree) (domestic violence)
The state recommended the following sentencing:
- Five years for reckless homicide
- Seven years for possession of a handgun by a felon
- One year for assault
The sentences for charge one and two were recommended to be served consecutively.
