GEORGETOWN, Ky. (FOX 56) — Scott County law enforcement officials told FOX 56 News on Thursday morning that a burglary investigation was underway after the victims called for help at a Lexington gas station.
According to the Scotty County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 7:30 a.m. on June 4 to the 400 block of Iron Works Road in response to reports of a home invasion.

Victims reportedly told investigators that the person who invaded the home had been armed and wore a mask. They allegedly took the victims’ cell phones and ordered them to get inside a closet before “stealing items from the home.”
Authorities said the robber left the home, at which point the victims went to the Casey’s gas station in the area of Ironworks Pike and Georgetown Road to call for help.
