Man who broke into Andy Barr’s campaign HQ has charges dropped

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The man police say broke into Rep. Andy Barr’s Senate campaign headquarters had his charges dropped May 27.

Blake Lashelle, 39,  was accused of breaking into the campaign headquarters in late February, causing damage to the office.

A criminal complaint shows that Barr’s office received more than 35 phone calls from Lashelle and on the day the office was broken into, he called 15 times.

Investigators say Lashelle pulled on the door several times until he broke the magnetic strip. Once inside the office, he “acted very aggressive towards staff and yelled at the staff, then left,” according to court documents…
