Golden Tempo’s Belmont Stakes win brings renewed attention to Claiborne Farm

PARIS, Ky. (FOX 56) — Golden Tempo’s remarkable season continued Saturday as the Kentucky Derby winner captured another major victory, winning the 158th Belmont Stakes and further cementing his place among horse racing’s elite 3-year-olds.

The victory came just weeks after Golden Tempo claimed the Kentucky Derby. While Golden Tempo is not eligible for the Triple Crown after skipping the Preakness Stakes, the horse and his connections continue to make history.

Raised at Claiborne Farm in Bourbon County, Golden Tempo adds to the storied legacy of one of Kentucky’s most celebrated breeding operations. Claiborne Farm has produced 11 Kentucky Derby winners dating back to 1930 and six Triple Crown winners.
