Clusters of thunderstorms have spawned across western Kentucky again on Tuesday afternoon. There is a level 2-of-5 risk for scattered severe weather with this activity tonight as it works eastward.
The threats include heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding, damaging straight-line winds, and a brief spin-up tornado.
Storm activity will be greatest through the first half of the day on Wednesday before they fade into the evening hours. An additional 1” to 2” with locally higher amounts will be possible! Flash flooding is a concern on Wednesday!
Once these storms wrap up, temperatures will quickly rebound into the mid to upper 80s. Dew points will be well into the 70s, which means the sooner the rain ends and the sky begins to clear, the faster it feels like temperatures will push the mid 90s…
