LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Lexington has temporarily stopped accepting zone map amendments, development plans, and permit approvals for data centers in Fayette County.
On June 9, the city passed a moratorium on all data centers. A week later, city leaders are still in the early stages of deciding what regulations should look like.

“I think everything is on the table because we know that there are issues regarding the energy use, there are issues regarding the size,” said Mayor Linda Gorton.
