A rabid bat was recently found near the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, according to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department.
The bat was found outside a residence near Berea Road and the Kentucky Horse Park on Monday, June 22. The resident of the home reported that no people or pets were exposed to the bat, but the health department said it will still put up rabid animal placards in the area as a precaution.
