Lexington man pleads guilty to trafficking in fentanyl

A Lexington man, originally charged with distributing fentanyl in Perry and other counties, has pleaded guilty in federal court to distributing the drug in Fayette County.

According to court documents, on June 25, Ramondo Taylor Jr. pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge S. Chad Meredith to a single count of distribution of 40 grams or more of fentanyl.

The charge, according to the indictment, carries a potential prison sentence of between five and 40 years in prison and a minimum of four years of supervised release. Formal sentencing in the case is set for Nov. 18…
