RICHMOND, Ky. (FOX 56) — Residents in Madison County are continuing cleanup efforts more than a week after deadly floodwaters swept through the area, leaving behind extensive damage.
Madison County was one of the hardest-hit areas, where floodwaters ripped structures from their foundations and forever changed families’ lives.
“There was loss of life, loss of homes, a few homes that nobody would be able to live in,” Pastor Arthur Jaramillo of Antioch Christian Church said. “And then other families were like, ‘I just can’t do this anymore.’ And they’re leaving the area.”
