SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Deputies with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office said an emergency vehicle at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Saturday was allegedly hit by another car, leading to “life-threatening injuries to multiple people.”
Around 3:20 p.m. on July 11, the sheriff’s office posted on Facebook that deputies were at the 141-mile marker of I-75 South investigating.
“Preliminary reports are that Emergency Units were on scene of a previous single-vehicle accident when another vehicle struck an emergency vehicle on scene, causing significant life-threatening injuries to multiple people in the vehicle,” authorities in Scott County wrote on Saturday afternoon.

Investigators said no first responders were injured in the crash. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials noted that the entire southbound area of Exit 144 has been closed, with traffic diverting to US-25 then back onto the interstate at Exit 136.
