Though it said it was pressed for time to come up with the best version of rules and regulations for data centers, Lexington’s planning commission is recommending the county ban any larger than 50,000 square feet Thursday.
If the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council approves the planning commission’s recommendations, any data centers that could be built will need to follow a number of other standards.
