NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Some Jessamine County homeowners received a supplemental tax bill for 2026, in addition to their regular property tax bill.
Roger Fields started looking into the issue after receiving his own $60 bill. He later reviewed the county’s delinquent tax list, saying hundreds of property owners still have outstanding bills.
“I had a $60 tax bill, and I kind of blew it off. Come to find out, my lender had already paid. But for some people, that’s not the case,” Fields said.

Unpaid bills are transferred from the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office to the County Clerk, where they become certificates of delinquency and liens are recorded against the properties. Those certificates could be sold to third-party purchasers…
