Will Stein issues another reminder to Kentucky fans that he’s cut all ties with Louisville

Will Stein may have ended up at Louisville as a player, but that doesn’t stop him from throwing the metaphorical L’s down nowadays, and in more ways than one. While speaking with KSR’s Nick Roush at Kentucky’s Media Day, Stein was asked about a change that Cats fans have definitely noticed, but probably thought nothing about up to this point.

Traditionally, Wildcats quarterbacks, or injured players, wear red in practice. This prevents defensive players from taking a shot at either the passers or the guys who don’t need the extra hits. You’ve certainly seen them in preseason content a time or two.

Stein, though, wasn’t having it; the QBs wear black jerseys in practice now. Why, you ask? “We don’t have red in our building,” Stein said simply. “I think it’s pretty obvious why. Our biggest rival down the road wears red. There’s no red in our building.”…
