LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) — The world’s longest yard sale is kicking off, with its route stretching across Kentucky.
The 127 Yard Sale is an annual event taking place from Thursday, Aug. 6 to Sunday, Aug. 9. The event began as a way to encourage people to bypass interstate highways, and instead travel scenic routes through rural communities and small towns.
While there are no set hours for the booths, vendors typically open between 8-9 a.m. and stay open until 5 p.m. pm average, according to the 127 Yard Sale. Some booths may stay open late into the evening…
