(NEXSTAR) – What may have started as a wholesome family tradition could inadvertently tip off bad actors to personal details of your child’s life and whereabouts.
Police agencies around the country are warning parents to be careful about what they show and share in first day of school photos.
In particular, photos with signs or chalkboards—which have become popular props for social media posts—could be especially revealing. The signs sometimes give away details like kids’ school names, ages, teachers, and favorite things.
