Shoppers reach Hamburg Pavilion in Lexington, Kentucky, from 30 miles west and 50 miles east, because two interstates meet near the northeast side of town.

The site was still a horse farm in 1986. The shopping center opened in 1997 and finished its main construction the next year. Regal Cinemas joined in late 1999.

The original developer filed for Chapter 11 in 2010. Starwood Capital bought most of the property in 2014. A group sponsored by Fairbourne Properties paid $135 million for it in October 2024…
