LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Lexington recorded 898 crashes from Aug. 1 to Aug. 23, according to AAA. Three people died and 167 were injured.
Crash numbers compared to last year
AAA said the same period last year saw 949 crashes, also with three deaths, but fewer injuries at 128.
AAA’s Lori Weaver-Hawkins said the crashes are preventable and wants drivers to know how to protect themselves before getting behind the wheel.
