Fayette County schools refused to pay company working on magnet programs, lawsuit says

A company helping Fayette County Public Schools develop curriculum materials has filed a lawsuit saying the district won’t pay, and a judge has rejected an effort to have the lawsuit dismissed.

The Michigan-based company, CommonGood LLC, has sued FCPS for breach of contract and alleges FCPS wouldn’t pay the company for work funded through a U.S. Department of Education grant. The curriculum material was for magnet programs.
