Kentucky football continues to move up the national rankings.
The updated Coaches Poll dropped on Sunday afternoon following the Wildcats’ 21-13 Saturday night road win over Oklahoma. After Kentucky entered Week 7 as the 17th-best team in the country, college coaches across the country moved Will Stein’s program up five spots to No. 12 nationally.
As a result, Oklahoma, which was receiving votes in last week’s poll, did not pick up a single vote this time around. Kentucky returns to action next weekend at home against an unranked Vanderbilt squad that has yet to win an SEC game. Sitting right ahead of UK in the rankings is Tennessee, which will host the Wildcats on Nov. 7 in a game that could have major College Football Playoff implications.
